Any photos of the whole shrub or even a branch? Also, an indication of your general location will help as different things grow in Fl vs NM vs ME.

and it would help to know if that is its real color all season????

mulberry was my first gut reaction.. but google images does not seem to support that thought ...

if you cant get an answer here.. try the name that plant forum ... and then report back if they come up with anything ...

Turning to my trusty Tree Identification Book by George W.D. Symonds the pages fell open to two identical leaves that I had pressed in it sometime in my travels. Ken almost got the answer, Morus alba (White mulberry). According to Symonds, White Mulberry leaf is smooth and shiny without the deep lines of Red Mulberry. It can be found in three leaf shapes such as the one pictured, also more lobed and also looking much like the Red Mulberry leaf with more pronounced teeth.
