Looks like a Holly. Ilex sp. I can't tell you which ones would be growing in your area. Maybe one of the Ilex meserveae cultivars?

And it does get tiny flowers that the bees love.

Should stop kids, no doubt, but seems kind of like cutting off your nose to spite your face. Those holly leaves are needle sharp, even when they fall off in the winter. Then you have a yard full of prickly leaves to deal with, not to mention trying not to get poked as you mow around it, or need to pull weeds from around it. I hate these things!
