When can I transplant a dwarf Arctic Fire shrub?

I have two mature Arctic Fire shrubs that have outgrown their location. When is the optimal time to move them? Will they survive? They are about 4x4 right now.

i am in adrian MI

now thru late october is a great time to move stuff ...

i doubt you could kill a red twig dogwood if you wanted to ... you could probably dig it up.. and leave it on the driveway for winter.. and plant it in spring.. and it would still live .. well.. maybe not.. but you get the point ...

dont worry about it.. just do it ...

ps: i am wondering whats dwarf about a 4 by 4 foot dogwood???? .. lol ...

ken, freaking root rot, I told you, it's everywhere,, too tired to deal...it wsan't even freaking overwatered.. trying to save, peroxide rinse, but so sick of this, plus it has variegated leaves that are so disgustingly "marred" right now)... I did pot up, it's with the rest, I still have barerooted things on ground
