| Hi all,
This is a wonderful forum - thank you to all who share their knowledge. I am madly in love with the dwarf artic willow and would love to plant a line of three between the house and patio. I know they are good growers, so I would plan on pruning to the ground each winter to keep them small. My only concern is their root system: the nursery says not to worry about it, but I have read that the roots can damage a foundation, gas lines, etc. Is this a real worry from a shrub? Any advice much appreciated! |

| They're talking about the roots of large-growing willows and not these. And there has to be a hole or other vulnerability in a feature for roots to get in and make problems. |
