Emerald Green Arborvitae, newly planted

About 4 weeks ago I planted a bunch of emerald green arbs. They look healthy. I posted one pic of them (healthy.jpg) that has some lighter green tips - guessing that that is normal, but not sure.

About 2 weeks ago, I planted another bunch of arbs (same purchase date), and the soil along the side that I planted these on definitely gets more water.

I've noticed that they are starting to lose leaves on the bottom/inside and am trying to figure out if it's too much water,or just normal for this time of year, stress of new planting, etc.

If it's too much water, will digging them up and replanting higher, on a berm help, or is it too late?

Appreciate any feedback...

they are conifers ... as well as trees ... but not technically shrubs... and that will matter should you ever decide to prune ...

see link ... as to proper planting.. and proper watering ...

review such.. then lets discuss any specifics that you need further explained ...

these were probably field dug plants.. and the damage looks like it is related to such;... it does not bother me at this point.. all interior yellowing is normal.. increased by digging and transplant ... and expect that now.. spring.. or next fall ...

i like the techline irrigation tube ... but the soil on them looks pretty dry ...

you need to insure.. they are moist thru the whole root zone.. with a hose.. and then you can maintain that with the irrigation ... find out.. how much moisture is at depth ... with a hand trowel...
