| My Otto Lukens are sending out shoots up to a foot away from the plant. They are about 6 years old. How can I stop this? Continually cutting them out is getting very tedious. |

| You can stop it by ripping it out. Absent that option, there is a product called 'Sucker Stopper' that I have no experience with but the label says, in effect 'apply frequently after you've purchased this expensive consumer good and hopefully they will stop'. We had 2 suckering false spireas that did the same thing. Key word: had. My 2¢ Dan |
