Mine ive had a year and this is the first time it flowered completely in my care. It's doing so well here in NoCal outside unprotected I thought maybe even planting them in - ground. Mine was outside last winter and the temp got down to 24 degrees. No damage. Although it was nearly covered in bamboo sheath shedding from the neighbors "weed-boo". That may have provided good cold protection. Also it doesn't like winter rain. I made sure it doesn't get too wet. Also I'm not really zone 10, I'm 9b.
