Name this shrub!

I have to replace one of these and need to know the name... Help?

Looks like a Japanese umbrella pine, Sciadopitys. And unless one of the dwarf cultivars, this is a tree, not a shrub. Depending on your location and its siting, this may not be the best choice as a foundation planting. And the rock mulch is not helping.

There are more dwarf varieties of Umbrella pine such as Sciadopitys verticillata 'Mitsch Select'. It 'could' be one of those dwarf (and probably quite pricey) varieties, in which case it will likely grow very slowly.

You'll have to observe how much growth it puts on next season.
