Pyracantha from seed

My grandmother has one of these in her yard. I have found seeds inside the berries and would like to try growing them. Anyone have any advice on how to do this - such as should I start them now or wait until spring? Thanks for any help.

In your zone you will probably want to sow now, or soon, and place the pots outdoors.

Druse - Making More Plants: Pyracantha - squash berries and wash in seive under running water (pulp contains germination inhibitors). Sow moist cold 90 days, seed barely covered as light may be beneficial to germination. Bring back to approx 50F, additional 40 - 180 days to sprout.
