| I planted 3 of these this past spring. They are very pretty and were in bloom when I planted them. Now I've noticed they are budding up all over the place. Is this normal for them? Is this their buds for the spring?
Also, I've been told they're very easy to prune. Can I assume that since they are spring bloomers, they should be pruned AFTER they bloom? Or is there a better time? |

| Yes, those are the buds for spring. I would guess after flowering would be better if you want to keep the flowers. Consider how you prune them - a naturally arching shape is desired so you may want to prune a branch at the base of the plant vs. halfway along the length. |

| I'd look in some pruning books. Multiple titles have been published recently enough that I was able to find and buy a bunch of different ones awhile back, all in local shops. |
