 o
temporary transplant

hello everyone :)
I hope I can find my answer here since several of my garden friends were unsure about the answer. I am getting a new fence in 2 weeks. I need to remove several boxwoods, small arborvitaes and butterfly bushes. They need to go back in once the fence is up. I don't know should I dig them out now and put in a temporary bed until spring or dig them out a couple of days before and put them back in right after the install. We are having some nights with frost and I assume by mid November there will be more. What to do?

RE: temporary transplant

couple days before ... dig up.. put in full shade ...

reinstall day after ...

if small enough.. put in plastic bags.. just to keep wind off the exposed roots ... or throw some burlap.. over the roots ...

do NOT forget.. no sun ...

they are dormant.. they dont care about frost of freeze ... its irrelevant ...
