Question Regarding Leaves of Smokebush

I have a Cotinus coggygria 'Black Velvet' Smokebush. I planted it in May of 2014 and it seemed very happy and produced flowers and grew about 8 inches this summer. I noticed this leaf pattern emerging over the autumn months and at first thought it was just its fall coloring, but some who looked at it suspected some type of disease.

I've attached a picture below. I tried googling and didn't come up with anything and thought this forum might provide some expert assistance. So what do you think? Fall leaf pattern or some type of disease?

It's perfectly natural. It's called 'tiger striping' and is common to all purple leaved cultivars of smokebush. Actually, it can happen to any color smokebush but is most obvious with the purple ones. It can happen to varying degrees in fall and take on various coloration. But completely normal and not a disease :-))
