Spacing for Osmanthus heterophyllus 'gulftide'

I have 4 Osmanthus heterophyllus 'gulftide', or False Holly, for foundation planting. What spacing is recommended?

The shrubs grow upright. And it says its width is about 5' wide. Should I plant them as a hedge 5' apart? Or I should plant them a little closer like 4' or 4.5' apart?

They form a hedge, but I do not want to keep trimming. It is at the back of my house, facing west. So receives afternoon heat.
