| Hi,
I have a lilac in my garden that I just love. I don't know the name. I bought it years ago from Wayside. How can I propagate it and when is the best time to do that? Thanks for any info. -B |

| if it suckers.. you can dig up the babes underneath ... do it gently.. to find where there are some roots and make the cut to include some roots on the new plant ... i did that this spring.. and left it potted all summer for ease of watering and care.. and then planted it in fall ... i dont know about rooting them... if no one chimes in .. try the propagation forum.. or google: propagating lilac .. ken |

| I also do what Ken does and find that they are pretty tolerant of the move - I haven't lost any of the babies. |
