| Does anyone know when Aucuba berries take on their red color? My aucuba berries right now are happy and nicely plumped up, but they're still pure green and I'm wondering when the red color will kick in. Also, what month/season do hollies tend to flower? I'm in the Seattle area. Thanks so much! |

| Depending on variety, aucuba berries in our climate tend to develop color in late winter or early spring, sometimes earlier. And with the hollies, it again depends on the species/variety but most flower here in late spring/early summer.....May or June. In most cases, they are not very showy and if it weren't for the attention of the bees and other pollinators, you might not notice them at all. |
