We like earthworms for all their benefits under certain circumstances, but it does do well to consider the impact of introducing non-native species into your environment. For example, I live in Phoenix AZ. Our desert soils don't have any native earthworms. The duff that is generated by the native plants around their bases help keep the ground more moist and cool than surrounding bare soil, allowing native plants a chance to grow. If earthworms came and ate a lot of the material during the wetter seasons, the plants would suffer. This has been observed in some places in Minnesota where there are no native worms.

Just something to consider.
