Can anyone tell me if it's alright to use mouldy sugar cane mulch, it is still in the bags/bales(3) but has been partly opened and smells mouldy.

RE: mulching

I am going to guess that away from trunks of trees, it can be put down under trees as mulch, just AWAY from trunks. This a WAG. Best would be to compost it with other plant waste.

RE: mulching

People have used spoiled hay for mulch for years so moldy sugar cane should be okay as well. Just be careful and do not breath any mold spores as you spread it.
