Screening Compost - pictures

My DH made a compost screening table to go over our garden cart or wheelbarrow. It has a good quality screen 1/2 X 1/2 and works really well.Today we emptied one earth machine composter in very quick time.

Been there, done that! Only, because a single layer of hail screen bends and tends to stretch, used a piece of fence with 2"X4" grid underneath. Been using it for 6+ years...

Looks like the same designer! Interestingly, there were absolutely NO worms in the whole compost box. Our other boxes are full of worms.

I built a similar compost shaker sifter a few years ago and it works fairly well.

I gotta get some casters for it, though. Might even convert it to a trommel with some bicycle tires (the back n forth shaking ain't a lot of fun)
