| We have a new bunny! Bunny makes waste, the little pellet balls which we all know and which must be safe for the compost pile. Those I throw in with some timothy hay bedding right into the tumbler. But I have questions about the litter box where the urine (and more poop) collects.
Assuming that I use something benign for the litter box like shredded newspaper, can I just pour the whole mess right into the tumbler? Rabbits produce a lot of watery, not very smelly urine and I want to put it to best use. Doesn't make sense to bag it up for the landfill. |

| Yes, sounds like an excellent item for composting. You can also spread rabbit droppings on the garden or flower beds without composting. |

| Bunny poop is ideal for cold composting, with the exception of Bunnies that are fed seeds that will later turn into weeds. I am envious. If you have enough newspaper that would be totally fine, but if you need more than you can get, sawdust is a good idea and some wood pellets for stoves are made of sawdust. I am someone who seeks out bunny poop and add it to my compost. But, I am not an expert. Mike |

| Rabbit manure is a very good material to use in the compost pile. When we raised rabbits and the manure was added to our compost piles we had hot piles, so whether your compost is cold or hot depends on more then the source of manure. |

| Thanks. I should have specified that the bulk of the tumbler is table waste + leaves, this is just extra waste to throw in. |

| I would use it straight in my garden instead. Great fertilizer! Moni |
