| I recently had 2 cubic yards of premium topsoil delivered for my new raised veggie garden beds. I only ended up using about 1.5 yards (which also filled all my planters for flowers). So now I have this big pile of soil at the back of my property on an area of mulch (with plastic sheeting between the mulch and soil pile) near my perennials. I don't want to give the soil away, because I may need it in the future.
Because my backyard was completely landscaped by the previous owner of the house I need a neat storage solution (not a pile basically). I was thinking about looking into plastic bags so that I can stack then neatly behind my shed. Any suggestions? I know Home Depot sells sealable Hercules bags but I've read that they are just terrible. |

| When I was younger my grandfather would just tell me to dig a hole and bury it. but seriously, if you have access to two 55 gallon drums (plastic would be better than metal) a good half yard of soil should fit in them. Car washes usually have them for cheap or free. Just put the barrel where you want it before filling it up. It's lighter that weigh. |

| If you go to stores like walmart they have these big plastic tubs. People use them for laundry, but I can use to store soil or compost, if I don't want it to drain out the bottom, but if I don't care or I want it to drain. I use my plastic compost bin to store soil or compost. |
