| Some dude came to my door and handed me two new phone books. I usually just dump them in the recycle bin but this time my 7 year old and I had a fun time shredding them and adding them to the compost bin. |
Follow-Up Postings:
| I put one in the compost pile (unshredded) last spring and couldn't find a hint of its existence by the end of summer! Phone books, like "land lines" and fax machines, are history. |
| I literally laugh when someone asks for my fax number or only gives the option to mail or fax something back. I always ask if they are serious. Sadly, they are. |

| I'm guessing you don't work for an underfunded government agency whose software and equipment is years out of date and which is required to keep all 'official' files in paper form. :-D |
| That's fine but let me fill in a paper form, scan it and email it back. If they need to print it then let them. Don't require me to have 1970's era hardware lying around. |
