Ratio of Calcium Carbonate + Q about Hardwood Ash

I've read the answer to my question somewhere but can't find it when I need it. My local feed/hardware stores are no longer carrying dolomitic limestone. What is the ratio for calcium carbonate per gallon of mix? Also 1 TBS per gallon? I'll add Epsom salt when I water. My media is 3 parts bark with some worm compost as fines and 4 parts inorganic. I mostly use my mix for African violets. Thanks for the repeat.

While I'm at it, hardwood ash isn't as stable as limestone, but do you have a general amount to use per gallon as a substitute for containers? I have access to a lot of ash and would like to take advantage.

Thanks on that one, too.

Betty

Not sure, but this may help.

Here is a link that might be useful: Wood ash for lime
