Put my first batch vermicompost on plants yesterday

First time trying time to make tea to. Set up a 5 gallon bucket with air bubbler at the bottom attached to aquarium pump for a 20 gallon tank. Suspended 4 cups worm poop at the top. Left it on for about 30 hours.

Sprayed all my vegetable plants today and drenched each plant with 16 ounces of liquid each at the base. Hope that was enough to carry to the root zone. (Still really small plants at this point)

I have different kinds of mulch around shredded grass clippings, shredded wood chips, some mixed etc. Have sprayed once a few weeks back with Espoma fish emulsion.

Have to say right now plants certainly look kind of weak, like they need nitrogen. Hope this gives everything a boost.

Btw: I put ring of vermicompost around each plant about 1/2 inch thick, 3 or 4 inches wide and covered with mulch.

gnhelton, sounds wonderful!
Have you tried comfrey in your compost tea.
You can grow it in a pot.
I have 1/2 acre set aside for mine when it get to be a nice size patch. I will mulch it with a lawnmower.
