| I have a bunch of weeds that are in bloom but no seed tops,I had my husbands cut them off can I put them in my compost now since they aren't seeded |

| Yes! For roots Like Bahia grass, I let them dry out for a week or two, before composting. Bulbs like wild onions or garlic, I lay on a hard surface & crush with a heel or brick. |

| Yes, as long as no seeds are present, or included, "weeds" cam be composted. |

| I've sort of given up on having a garden in which weeds never sprout, since there are so many seeds already in the air. So I throw everything in the compost, seeds or not, and figure I can weed out later anything that germinates. Many of the seeds will be destroyed anyway by sitting in the middle of the compost pile. |

| I do not have a link, but one study found that farmer who mulched, can save 40% of the water on their crops. I mulch to hold down weeds, like Ruth Stout. I like that I can save water also. I only get out to the main garden 1-3 times a week, so weeding & watering can be a chore. |
