jacaranda litter

My neighbor has the king kong of Jacaranda trees. It extends about 25 feet into my yard. It is beautiful, however . . .
Is all this litter good for mulch? It's mostly flowers.

Sounds ok to me. You could at least throw it on top of whatever mulch you've got already (as I would think that spent flowers would decompose pretty quickly).

It's mulchable and compostable. And Jacaranda flowers are one of the few purple flowers that will dry purple for potpourri and keep their color ... just lay them in a single layer in a dry area.

I gave a bunch of them to a friend for her lavendar-scented potpourris.
