| what am I doing wrong. My compost is like fine dust-dirt. No dark pretty soil. Its been raining here every other day except this past week when temps got up to 100. |

| I bet there isn't anything wrong. It sounds like it is just too dry. Do you have a preponderance of "browns" in there (dry leaves, shredded paper?). If so try adding more greens (grass clippings, fruit and veggie waste, coffee grounds) or maybe it just needs to be dampened and turned. |

| You could leave off the cover when it rains. Turn the next day & see if that's enough to get it moist. Did you try getting it moist? |
