| Hello All!
I have several burlap bags filled with soybeans and corn that a local farmer dropped off, thinking I could use them for my chickens. If I can find a grinder, I will use the corn, but the soybeans would have to be cooked or roasted for them to digest. Instead, I'm considering composting them for use in my garden next Spring. Can I just add them to my compost pile, or do they need any special treatment? |

| No. You might want to shred them a little first. Good luck - Ian. |

| Shredding those beans first could help the bacteria that will be digesting them do that easier, but otherwise there is nothing that needs be done to them before composting. |
