Anecdotal evidence of Clopyralid breakdown timetable.

Approximately May 1st I applied some cattle manure to some raised beds. Several weeks later the tomato plants began to show severe deformation from Clopyralid contained in the manure. I pulled most of the plants but left several to see if they would ever "come out of it" this year. Several days ago I noticed that the plants have begun to grow normal looking foliage. Also some volunteer Sugar Snap peas have germinated and appear normal as well. About six weeks ago I treated with activated charcoal. So it may, or may not have helped, but I don't know for sure because I don't have a test untreated plot. So it was approximately 100 days for the normal plants to show up.

Whether or not the damaged plant could grow out of it may also depend upon how large a dose they received in the first place.

And when one reads the instructions for using charcoal, it is to be thoroughly mixed into the soil.

Thanks for sharing your results. Glad some of your plants made it through, here's hoping you get rain and a nice long warm autumn and lots of maters!
