| I was wandering around the property looking for stuff to get ready for rain, and I came across several bags of leaves that were supposed to be dealt with last fall!
So excited, I brought out my leaf sucker/chopper only to find that all of the bags had gotten wet and are now blocks of pretty much composted leaves. They are wet and in cement-like blocks! Should I add them to my compost (way out of proportion to "greens"), top off the asparagus bed, go begging the neighbors for grass clippings, spread them out to hopefully dry out, or what???? It's a big wagon full (NOT JON H's proportions at ALL) Nancy |

| That is awesome, I love finding treasures ;-) I wouldn't let them dry out, nothing happens biologically when they are dry...have fun ;-) PS... I would add them to the compost heap, mix them in real good, and as you add greens , your browns will be "at the ready" ;-) |

| I just thought if I dried them out, I could then suck them up with my leaf sucker/chopper thingy, But I guess I can break them up with the pitchfork and pitch them right into the bin. Nancy |

| Yeah, I was going to say that, get a hatchet or a sharp shovel and chop away. And I would NEVER worry about too many browns, greens are far too easy to find, at least for me. |
