Can I compost the St Augustine Grass that died this summer? I never saw any chinch bugs but don't really know if it was brown spot or what that killed the grass.

Yes, you can compost anything that died :-)

Is St. Augustine one of those invasive spreading grasses like Bermuda? If so, make sure it's good and dead before putting it into a compost pile. Good and dead, then kill it again. :-]

Thank you for the info!

Saint Augustine composts just fine.

It does slowly spread, but only on top of the ground in a manner that is nowhere near the evil that is Bermuda Grass.

I don't even try to compost the Bermuda. It goes into the garbage can.
