I live in a rainy area of NW Washington. I have a compost pile that is 80 percent done. Should I cover it for the winter or leave it open. Thank you in advance.

Don't cover it until it starts to rain
If it is really 80% done, you might be able to get it finished before the monsoon if you turn it (often) and add water as need.
Days when it isn't going to rain, take the cover off and then put it back on at night to hold the heat.

Down here it seems to rain hardest and more often at night
