But if he/they can scratch out even a meager living while doing good for the Earth I think it is a very noble occupation. I have learned a lot in the last year pertinent to composting and now try to be very intuitive on how to finish out my working lifetime in this very fulfilling effort. I have found a huge supply of what people call crap and trash and are making dump truck loads of "potting soil texture compost". The pride I have found from making this sustains me. The money is about breakeven for my efforts but the contact I have from my city office says I could save them many thousands of tax dollars a year.
Here is my point.... there is only 75000 people in the town I work with.. How many unemployed and underemployed and semi-retired folks could get in the "compost" business and make some kind of a living while doing society a good thing.. I'm still scratching my head 'bout this.....

"Amazing! What will people think of next."

Not many "people" can do 15,000 tons of food scraps in one year, I know I'm impressed. I only did slightly over 500 metric tons and mine was measly yard waste. Food waste, in those volumes, is a whole different animal IMO.

Thx for the link.
