Lloyd, thanks for thinking of me. We are just fine, don't live in the area flooded out. The road closures made "getting out" challenging, but yesterday afternoon they opened one road into town. It is so sad seeing the houses that were flooded about 2 feet into the living area. It is an area where most of the homes are occupied by young families, the ones that are the least able to afford repairs. I took a couple of pictures of the homes involved -- you can see the level of the water on this one.

Here is a link that might be useful: Flooded home

Good to hear you're okay. I saw it on the news and didn't know if that affected you or not. Will those houses ever dryout this time of year or is it a major tear out and replace project?

RE: Dotty

I drove by today and there are pumps gushing water out of the crawlspaces and the front yards are piled high with carpets and sofas, etc. It's going to be a challenge drying them out but people are working on it. I hope it doesn't take too long for relief funds to reach them. Young families have the least resources to afford to replace things and afford rent while working on their homes. I guess living in S. Man. you are well aware of the problems of flooding. It's not nice.
