Overview of the backyard showing the limited space both for horarding leaf bags and spreading leaf mulch. Compost 6
The two bins, overrun with leaf bags.
Compost 1
The "holding" pen for browns & greens, with the “finishing” bin in the background.
Compost 2
The hoard of bags from closer.
Compost 3
Lovely Hairy Vetch, with a couple compost pumpkins that drowned out my poor strawberries
Compost 4
Future site of leaf mulch, still waiting in November, damn global warming!
Compost 5
Different angle on future home of leaf mulch, with yours truly in bas relief.

I was not "bragging" about my 35 bags and counting, just getting excited. Though I may shred all these since Monday promises me to be a "windfall" leaf gathering day, barring rain.

Congrats on your "hoard"! A good hoard, not the kind you see on the Hoarders show. :)

Now all you need is some cardboard to smother some of those weeds!

Oh, you are, too, bragging!! And, who wouldn't?
Good score.

Not really any weeds (at least in these pictures), what you are seeing is my perennial beds, my hostas, irises, as well as my actual backyard grass (with 2 pepper plants still growing where I had my temporary garden). I had left my main veggie garden go fallow this year, well, or go green manure, hence the hairy vetch.

Oh I thought the vetch was a weed sorry! Around here it is pretty weedy, but apparently it is used as a cover crop and I noticed the bumblebees really like it.

Congratulation on your haul.
The recycling manger call me in to his office today to ask if I could use a few more dump truck loads of coffee waste.
I told him I really did not need it, but he could dump it in the field behind the garden.
I will let it rot, then spread it.
