Golden Leaves

Can't wait to get home and blow and rake my new fallen leaves into piles that I run over and bag with the mower ....

Then on to my bins where the monster mulch piles await ....

Seriously I think my piles can devour almost anything ----

2 one pound trout filets that I forgot about in the freezer for 2 years !!!

-20C overnight here with almost a foot of snow on the ground. I hate you people that can compost so long into the fall! (well not really hate but I do get irked!)

Off to coach youth bowling, I'll take my frustrations out on them and see if I can make some cry.

Lloyd- Fortunately when that airmass gets here it will only be -10C. Compost still hot in the middle here.

Joebob- When you freeze fish, surround it in water in a ziplock bag. Found 3 year old walleye fillets frozen that way that were still great on the grill.

(Hey Lloyd, guess what we heated this camp with from 1948 until about 1992? Yup, bowling pins. My grandfather owned a bowling alley. Candlepins were made of kiln dried, hard maple, and are long burning. I and all my cousins are wondering now, though, how much lead paint smoke we breathed during our formative years. I have about 30 bowling pins left, a reminiscent stack in the basement. Oh, there's that, too. Boy! Do bowling pins (candlepins) make a nicely stacked wood pile!)

Not that you asked...

Sorry for the hijack.

I didn't think you were suppose to put meat in a compost pile. Are fish a different matter?

Couch, hardwood floor and bowling pins in the living room??!! Man, if there was a beer fridge in there I'd never leave!

Oh Lloyd, you'd better not let "aircapguy" know you'd want to have Beer in the fridge, he'd be telling your Dad - LOL!

Hi Greg, actually I can't have beer with this diet I'm on, but I can dream!

Whoa, did we ever get waaayyy off topic! Sorry. (but it's actually AP's fault....again) But then again it's joebob's thread and he's one of the good guys.

(I know, I'm sorry, I'm a hijacker. That's the least of it.)
