Yes, I've tossed them in the pile. They get soft and squishy as soon as they get wet. After that? I guess they just decompose fairly quickly, as I can't say I've ever really noticed them for long.

Add one of them to an equal amount of water and you will see how quickly the dissolve in that water. Same thing happens in the compost pile, but if there is ever a question about are these really corn based or syrofoam that is a good, quick test.
