Looking for old post - Xmas compost poem

Posted by kiddo_1 (My Page) on

Hi all. I'm trying to find one of my old posts back at Christmastime in 2008. It was a take off of the Night Before Christmas and I can't turn it up in any of my searches.

I've even tried just searching on my ID, but nothing turned up that way either.

Do any of you remember the poem? Or have a copy somewhere? Sure would like to find it again. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks all, and Merry Christmas

Kris (Kringle?)

try to remember phrases or words that are unique to your post. E.g., if there was a line you remembered, like

Not an insect was stirring,
But I saw a mouse

you would start with your username and add the searchwords kiddo insect stirring mouse.

If you're sure about a phrase, like not an insect was stirring, enclose it in quotes after your user name: kiddo "not an insect was stirring". That way, only posts that have the words 'not an insect was stirring' in that exact order will appear.

You can combine phrases you're sure of with other searchwords, too: kiddo "not an insect was stirring" mouse

If all that fails, it's just another case of a post being eaten by whatever eats them; a lot of mine are missing from the archives. I often search and finds posts of mine that go back as far as '05, but sometimes can't find posts as recent as '08/'09.

Hi Kris

I'm at work right now but I'll look through my files when I get home this afternoon. I remember a poem, but can't remember much else about it.

Hi Lloyd. Was hoping you'd pop up. :-D

I finally found a copy of the draft of the poem on my computer. Yay. So I'm posting it on my blog today.

Hope all is well there in the snowy North and that you and yours have a warm and happy Christmas.

Ho ho ho, all.

I Love That! Do you mind if I send it to some friends, with a link to your blog?? I'll wait to hear from you first, but it really is great.

Thanks for the comment, Greg. Merry Christmas.

Nancyjeanmc - I'd be pleased if you just send the link to the blog to your friends. The blog could use some holiday traffic. ;-D And if you/they want to read more veg/compost entries, there are links to my other garden pages on top of the main blog's sidebar. Merry Christmas.

And Happy New Year everyone.
