| ... for composting pumpkins! I guess this is the time of the year when you find lots of pumpkins discarded - simply laying on the road. Last week I picked one while on the walk with my toddler. Today, on the way to work, I saw a large pumpkin on the county road. I had to pull over to take it. It is still in my van, will have to wait until I get home to go to compost. Should I share a little piece of it with the birds? |

| Birds and other critters love any kind of fresh stuff in the winter, since all the fruit is long gone off the trees. I put out some 'sleepy' pears just the other day for them to peck at. |
