| How long does it take for denim to decompose? I've made a couple of "grow pouches" out of the legs of an old pair of jeans...Just wondering about how long they will last with all the watering of the plants inside? |

| I've never tried that, but I would think it will depend to some extent on how much polyester is in the denim vs. cotton. I've talked to people who composted rags, and later found a "ghost" of the former garment composed entirely of the synthetic non-degradable fibers. I bet you could get at least a growing season out of them. |
