Adding Christmas wrapping paper to the pile

What is the consensus regarding adding Christmas wrapping paper to the frozen compost pile? I wonder about the dyes in the paper. Thanks for any input.

Chances are the wrapping paper was generated overseas where heavy metals are more likely to be used in the inks.

I wouldn't trust the stuff in my bin and would leave it for the recyclers to deal with.

I would agree with rott that christmas wrapping paper does not belong in compost. Metallic inks, laquer to keep the inks from smearing, numerous reasons indicate that is not a good idea.

Thanks so much. The inks were my concern and I can see now I would not want that stuff in my compost.
