 o
interested in options for paving driveway

We have a gravel driveway that is rather long and wide. The gravel from the driveway continually is washing down the street, and I know this annoys our neighbors. Although our driveway is quite flat, the street in front is a slight slope. I guess we just pull the gravel out as we drive in and out of the driveway. One of the neighbors actually scoops up our rocks every now and then and brings them back to our driveway! I feel bad that this is happening, but we inherited this problem when we purchased our house. We would like to know what our alternatives are as far as different paving methods, and possibly even non-paving options, that won't wash away. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. ~Angie

Angie,
Have you considered something to retain the gravel in the driveway? Some type of little lip at the apron portion of the driveway that when you drive over will be little more than a blip. A row of cobbestone set in concrete would do the trick.
Take care,
marg
