Fieldstone walkway

I saw a landscaping show today and these folks put in a patio using this mesh on which was attached a number of fieldstones. It made it easy to layout and they filled sand between the stones once they were set.

I was thinking of creating a front walkway using this material but I do not know what it is called or where I might purchase it. Anyone know?

Also, I seem to remember a show where instead of sand they put some sort of compound that would solidify once it rained instead of washing away or creating a mess like sand would. Does anyone know the name of that product?

the sand that doesn't wash away is "polymer added" sand.

I don't know about the fieldstone stuff.

I saw the same show and was amazed at how easy it looked!!! I searched everywhere on the net and found 1 supplier that only sells to wholesalers. They would look great as a garden path which is what I planning to do with pallets of fieldston but this look much easlier due to not having to cut and fit. Here is a link. Only one I found. I am sure if you contact them they will tell you who they sale to in your area. Let us know what you find out please! Wondering if they are same price as regular stone would be. Hope hope..

Here is a link that might be useful: mesh backed flagstone

Elaine39, I called the folks above. They gave me a local landscaper in Lawrence, NJ where I can buy the mesh backed stones. The supplier told me that the landscpaer would order them for me and I could install them myself.

I believe you can get the same affect by using the walkmaker at a much lower price and it will probably stand up a lot longer.
