slate tiles

I'm putting cinder blocks around my waterfall on my pond. I'd like to cover these with slate tiles I bought at Lowe's. I'm wondering if I need a special kind of mortar or grout to use outside around alot of water? It wouldn't be wet constantly but it may get splashed on. Is there a glue I could use like gorilla glue instead or maybe a caulk?

Thanks

I'd use regular adhesive and grour then use a waterproof sealer; after all these tiles are used in damp places in the house also.

We have some left over after covering our red brick fireplace with them and DH is going to use thinset mortar them to cheap cement step stones and I'm putting them around the new water feature we are building. He says there is thinset for use in wet areas.
