Help recently laid flagstone...stain issues

Posted by jshksh (My Page) on

Hi,

We had flagstone (on mortar) laid last week. It appears that the workers got some fresh asphalt on the stone (black stains on 5 stones). Any ideas on how to remove stains without hurting stones. Also, the grout looks dirty (even though it is new). Should we have them come back out?

Thanks a bunch!

Muriatic acid which is also known as hydrochloric acid so be careful about clothes touching it or breathing it. You should have checked it out before they left because contractors hate retuning to a job they just finished that they will not be paid for.

Here is a link that might be useful: Propagating Perennials
