Help! Pool Coping driving me crazy

I am building a pool in San Diego--- we chose "Red Mountain" Flagstone coping from KRC Rock--- delivery looks nothing like sample --- allot of rust, and worried about the staining I read about on these postings. We chose this because sample has allot of very dark pieces with small amounts of gold speck.

Pool is Polynesian/Japanese theme--- can anyone suggest a natural rock coping? Kinda want something that looks "lava-like" or dark. Most of the stone here is Southwestern looking-- which is not our design.

HELP-- wife is going to every stone store and describing rock on the phone --- PLS help make a recommendation-- we are holding up the project-- I am going insane.......

It really doesn't matter what people suggest if it is not available in your area. Stone availability and price varies widely between regions. Your best bet is to do exactly what your wife is doing, visit all the stone places and see what looks right.
