| Need info on installing decomposed granite for a footpath. How thick? After screeding do you compact with a roller, compactor?

| My paths were initially 3" think. Some areas have been built up to 5-6". I compacted some iwth plate compactor I had on hand while doing pave stone patio. Other areas compacted naturally with foot traffic. |

We're considering a stabilized DG patio. Does anyone have helpful hints for installing one? Also, we're looking for a patio that will deter our two Golden Retrievers from digging and our hope is that stabilized DG will keep them at bay. Any info or insight would be helpful.
