 o
please advise how to beautify non removable old concrete

If this is the wrong forum, please let me know this time,so I can place this post elsewhere.Have a old cracked 8x15ft.driveway,that is on the end of a block long paved drive.Don't know, why this was never removed, but I am not able to re move it or can afford to have it removed.Wondered if I could frame it in,then fill the cracks with asphalt, that sells in buckets, repear till they are full then cover the whole slab with an even coat of tar/asphalt,to match the long drive. There is grass on each side, and my craft shop (was a garage)on the end.Would of liked to fill the cracks with good smelling ground herb cover
and paint the concrete, that was one idea. But unless the 100+sun heat in summer would melt the cracks, think the asphalt cover would be easier, don't have any strenght to do but a little at a time.Would this work?
Has anyone tried this? Thank you

Many roadbeds are asphalt over concrete slabs, don't see why it wouldn't work for you.

You might look into having someone do stamped concrete on top of your paving and make a naturalized path out of it. It might cost a little more than asphalt (I'm totally guessing here), but would likely be more attractive, as you could get a brick look, various stone finishes, etc with the refinishing. Would also be no maintenance for you. Then you could plant around it and have a nice looking garden area.
