What kind of rock is this?

| Hi,
Does anyone have any idea what kind of rock this is? I found it with a pile that someone threw out by our dumpster. Thanks for any help!

| It reminds me of a geode. I don't know. It could've been ballast stone from an alien space ship! It is very strange looking. Maybe you could look in Google under rock identification. I'd keep that in a special place in the garden, or on my desk. |
