Why so few pics?

Posted by dredawg5000 (My Page) on

Why are there so few pics in this forum? It seems there are alot of questions being asked and written descriptions given, but posters submit very few pictures of what they are attempting to describe.

I guess Im a more visual person but a picture is truly worth a thousand words. I tend to lurk in the Hosta and Maple forums where pics are the norm.

I want to add pics but I don't know how to. I can add a link but can't add it so it appears as a pic.

Here is a link that might be useful: Inukshuks

Here are my garden paths, made with rocks picked up from all over around the city.

These are pictures from another house. Here there are no free rocks around the city, so I had to do something else. I made some cement leaves, bought a few flagstones, used some broken cement pieces and some broken terracotta pieces.

Looks like you have your pictures uploaded to the internet already. so to post them here you need to use this little bit of HTML code. Pretty simple, and once you use it a few times you will remember it.

First off you need to know the url or address of the picture you want to post. I normally just right click and choose copy image location from the selection.

Then when you get to the point in your post where you want to post your picture type this WITHOUT the space after the beginning <

so it should be img for image, and src for source..

< img src="picture location">

and that is it.

Just paste the image location between the quotes.

Looks Like a lot of heavy work.. Very Cool

Your paths look great, marianna. Well done. The first photo in your first post reminds me of an ancient Roman road. How cool.

Thanks Schoolhouse, I like that one too, it has a more natural look.
