Best ground cover for our 'utility area'?

Posted by tomplum (My Page) on

In my back yard world we have this utility area in which there is a little 10' by 12' shed with a 10' by 20' sized area to park our trailor , store the canoe, ladders, my junk etc. It is seperated from the rest of the yard by paver pathways and grape trellises etc. So I want to kill off the existing grass , weedblock and put something down that is easy to get around on for this area and around the shed. My first thought was rotten granite, but then I read that pets can track it in. True?(2 doxies and a wayward cat). Any suggestions out there?

Has anyone used a mix that is partially crushed and is it stable and drain well?
